Hello Blog World!

I've been thinking about starting a blog for a while now. Of course, most people's blogs are about recent happenings and events in their lives. That was my original intention, until my husband said he didn't want to be included in it...party pooper! :) We don't have any kids, so I can't write about that...I'm pretty sure people would get tired of hearing about me and my dog. So, the idea came to me last night while I was looking at someone else's blog. The perfect idea! I search the internet all the time for new ideas for my home, which in turn leads me to, yep, you guessed it... blogs! Anything from interior design blogs, to do-it-your-self blogs, to regular mom's who are totally infatuated with design blogs....allllllllll kinds of blogs! I even have certain ones that I check on a daily basis. I. Love. Blogs. So I decided, why not start my own?

My husband and I recently bought our first house about 5 months ago and since then, I have been on a decorating spree. Mostly just looking up ideas online for my next home project. Although, I have to say... I like to LOOK more than I like to DO. It's hard work painting and decorating a house! But it's also so rewarding after you get finished with your project. I think the hardest part for me is making up my mind. I am the world's worst decision maker. I'm getting better, but it's super hard making a long term decorating decision.... after you buy something, there is NO turning back! Especially a piece of furniture! Most of my friends know about my couch situation upon moving in. Let's just say I've had 3 different couches in our living room already. Good thing I decided to return them in time! Third times a charm. :)

Although most of the blog will be about design, it won't ALL be about design. There is more to life than just design, obviously. Which is why I named this blog what I did... Faith. Live. Love. Design. Faith being the first, and most important. Faith has become so important in our lives together. The Lord should always be and remain number one! I am thankful for all the blessings He has given us in our lives. I pray this every day! Be thankful and give to Him, and He will give so many blessings back to you. The second, live, is obvious. You get one life. LIVE it! Don't wait until tomorrow, you may not get tomorrow. The last, love...everybody needs love! Love IS life because without love, there is no life. "To love is nothing. To be loved is something. To loved and be loved is everything..." I wonder how many times I say the word love in a day? A LOT! Whether it's a person or a thing...I love to love! :)

Just because my husband doesn't want me to post about him, doesn't mean I can't post a little about us and about life. :) So, in conclusion, I can't wait to share my ideas, inspiration, faith and life! I'm excited to get started.....now on to deciding my very first topic! Thanks for reading! :)
